Restoring and re-creating
veteran, vintage
and classic cars

Welcome

BugattiIntroduction

With over 30 years of metalworking experience, I am able to repair or re-create even the most complicated coachwork, manufacturing ash and tubular frames, wheeling steel and aluminium panelwork, making windscreens and hood frames.

My interest in restoration started at a very early age, helping my father, David Hirst with restoring steam engines. After leaving school I completed a four year Apprenticeship in sheetmetal working before moving to the Edgley Aircraft Company where I was fortunate to work under the guidance of Harry Skinner on the complicated double curvature panels. I then worked for Rod Jolley Coachbuilding before starting my own business in 1988.
